Baranov Enterprise


The Omsk-based Baranov Engine-Building Enterprise, founded in 1916, is the oldest aircraft engine manu facturer in Russia and the only one in this line of business from the Urals to the Pacific. The enterprise's principal competence is aircraft engines, with over 20 different types having been assembled and serially produced in the past decades. Today, coming off the facility's production lines are the following five types of top-of-the-line aeroengines to power commercial and military aircraft. Further, the company has the capacity to provide maintenance and repair tasks. The five engines are:

Engine RD-33 Engine AL-21-F3A
the RD-33 turbojet the AL-21-F3A for the Su-17,
for the Mig-29 fighter; Su-22 and Su-24 fighters;
Engine TV7-117 VSU-10
the TV7-117 turboprop engine the VSU-10 auxiliary power unit
for the short-range 60-passenger-load IL-114 airliner, for the IL-86 and IL-96-300 airbus-type airliners;
Engine TVD-20
the TVD-20 turboprop engine for the An-3,
An-38 and other multirole short-range passenger aircraft and executive airplanes.
